DIY: Easy vegan ice-cream

Ice-cream is one of the most perfect summer treats however most recipes are not vegan and often take a lot difficult ingredients and a lot of prep time. I have tried this simple recipe many times before and not a single time has it failed me. Things you will require for this DIY are: blender, freezer, banana (or other mushy soft fruit), clingfilm, a knife and plate.

The first step is to peel or prepare your fruit - this includes washing it if necessary, after that place it on a medium sized plate and begin slicing it into small bitesize chunks. Once that is complete, just grab your clingfilm and cover your plate full of delicious fruit! I recommend that you put it into your freezer for at least 6-8 hours, you know its ready to come out when the fruit is covered in a sort of thin layer of ice and doesn't slide around.

Once the freezing process is finished just peel of the clingfilm and put your fruit into a blender or a bowl to mash. If you are struggling to get it off then just use a fork and knife to slide under a pull it off, if there is any ice left on the plate simply scrape that off too into your blender. Blend your fruit, pour the mixture into a bowl and done!

Side Note:
This ice cream will melt quite quickly and have a few lumps. This recipe is ideal for vegans or anybody looking for a simple healthy snack! You could also put your fruit into a freezer bag and put it in a bowl of ice and salt for a quick freezing process. Enjoy!
